All,
Attached is a description of how we'll adopt the ELVs for youth rugby. Please note the major differences are at the lineout and the fact that we'll not allow the pulling down of a maul in U19 variations.

ELVs that we're adopting 8/1
If you've been watching Super 14 and Tri-Nations rugby matches lately, you've been seeing a variation of the laws that we're not going to be playing.
Attached is a detailed explanation of the 13 Experimental Law Variations (ELVs) that will be adopted worldwide as of August 1, 2008. I know there has been some confusion surrounding this, and it needs to be cleared up.
If you'll notice, we're not adopting the "free kick, instead of penalty kick" portion. We're not able to handle the ball in the ruck…and you're limited in the way in which you're able to collapse a maul.
Please stick to this reference guide, as you prepare for fall play. To summarize, however:

Midwest Suspends Thunderbird Program, LAU Tournament |

In response to USA Rugby choosing to suspend the Men's National All-Star Championship in its current form, the Midwest voted unanimously to suspend the men's senior Thunderbirds program, as well as the LAU tournament.
